We just got back from a week in Tucson. I took Simon to visit Mom-mom and Grampy and Charlie dog at their winter hideaway. Aunt Birdie was a huge help on the flight out, and was a really good sport about getting drooled on and having the bottles leak all over her. We had a great time, hiking and relaxing and visiting. We also took a side trip to Sun City to see Great-Grandma Anne for her 99th birthday.
The day we arrived, Simon finally decided to start rolling over in his bed, so he is sleeping on his side and his tummy now, and sometimes sitting up and playing instead of sleeping. He continues his streak of sleeping really well that started after we got serious with keeping him in his crib all night after his 9 month checkup. He's also pulling up and cruising the furniture a lot. I gave him a lot of new foods while we were out at restaurants, and he is loving the variety. He's a great eater and he loves to feed himself, one pea at a time.
He also loves to make friends with strangers, on airplanes, in restaurants and out on the hiking trail. He's got a smile and a string of babble for everyone.
